Let me make that last statement a little clearer, the US government didnt discover it someone else did I think it was a German Scientist. Religion can be the same as science a means for spiritual advancement but unlike science it doesn't leave itself open to change, it either exists and everything else is wrong or it dies out like many Egyptian and Mayan beliefs. It lacks the competence to advance and such a stubborn existence of a group will only destroy it and whatever it can with it.

The Nuclear bomb was an unintentional discovery of how Atoms work. It was found out by the US government and they decided to make it into a weapon and thus funded the hell out of it. Its like making a axe to cut trees with, just because someone uses it to kill someone else doesn't mean it was its inital purpose. Things like the nuclear bomb and future weapons can be dangerous in the hands of insane people like Bush. I'm not disagreeing with the fact that science can be used to do wrong.

The nuclear bomb was unintentional? Than what was the manhattan project for? To make pretty flowers? Every group and ideology, whether it's a religious group or not, is going to have some bad apples. You shouldn't go basing your views on any group based solely on the extremists. That's exactly the type of thinking that makes people think that all muslims are terrorists.
